Like Ben Stiller's work. Enjoyed this movie if it was a little strange. I don't mind the fanciful elements when the are confined to Walter Mitty's daydreams, but the fancifulness of a dating website calling Mitty's cell phone while he's in the Himalayas is too silly, blurring the line between the fanciful and the real.
The globetrotting and adventure aspects make me want to travel. Stiller plus the exotic locales made this movie for me. Otherwise, plot is nothing new, nor are most of the emotional beats. It's pretty cliche in numerous spots, particularly Adam Scott's evil boss character.
"Stay gold pony boy" hilarious usage.
