Quick hits review:
Intro is very respectful of the Bond genre.
In Skyfall, Bond rises from the dead to protect M and the whole British secret service from an evil guy that has stolen a list of secret agents in the field.
Spoilers!
Saw the major points of the plot coming. M dying, Ralph Fiennes becoming the new M, and Eve being Moneypenny. Plenty of hints to these things.
Bothered by small things that are forgivable in a movie like this. Capturing Silva alive was a little stupid. Having Silva plan everything in advance is obnoxious. Reminded me of the Joker in Dark Knight. It bothered me in that movie too. Likewise, Silva could have taken a warship helicopter to Bond's house and just nuked the thing.
Good movie. They've started putting real effort and emotion into the Daniel Craig Bond movies. Part of me still misses the breezy, fun Connery version. A studio should try bringing that style back, if only for one movie.
