It was a good, enjoyable movie. Good plot with no real surprises. Good that the sister is there as a proxy for the audience's reaction, keeping the ridiculousness ridiculous.
Plot recap: Ben Affleck is a cheating husband who's wife disappears on their anniversary. It looks like foul play, but he swears his innocence. What really happened? Is he a heartless killer?
The acting is strange. I think Affleck and Rosamund Pike act so flat to emphasize that their characters lack real personalities. Or something like that. The most entertaining performance has to go to Tyler Perry. I can't stand Madea, but when he's not in drag Perry has shown to be a solid actor.
